What is your biggest motivation for coming to Denmark for Copenhagen Yoga Festival?

I got to know about the Copenhagen Yoga Festival from my best friend Nina Alstrup, who is an amazing and very passionate yoga instructor - she said that this event is not to be missed!

Why yoga? How does yoga affect you?

To me, yoga is a great way to strengthen the mind and body at the same time. It comprises of a variety of aspects, techniques, and approaches, letting you choose what is best for you at a particular moment. It's a great combination of exercising, stretching, and meditation, which allows you to feel refreshingly tired, in perfect symbiosis with your body and soul.

What was the most profound experience you had here?

The most profound experience during the festival occurred to me during the Breathology class with Stig Severinsen.

During the moment of the breath-holding exercise, I have realized how important it is to continuously enhance your body performance and how much relies on our strong will and motivation.

We are the masters of our own bodies, and it is solely up to us to take proper care of it.

What kind of inspiration will you bring with you home?

The inspiration will mainly come from the willingness to share friendship, love, and mutual understanding. The sense of community is a virtue that can only bring benefits to our society, and that is something you learn during events such as the Copenhagen Yoga Festival.

Do you care about your health? How?

I do take care of myself, but like everyone I also experience moments of weakness. Nevertheless, I spend the majority of my free time on outdoor activities, additionally

I work as a windsurfing and skiing instructor during summer and winter seasons. Healthy eating is also an important part of my life, but who doesn't like a piece of cake from time to time?!

You have to take proper care of yourself, but you also have to allow yourself some moments of guilty pleasure - which can actually have some beneficial effects, too.

Do you do yoga on a regular basis? What kind?

I am not a regular yoga student. But I am gradually changing it - since I moved to Copenhagen I am attending mobility yoga classes held by Nina, and I really love it! I appreciate the good feeling I get after trying out a new pose and learning something new every time I attend a class.

Do you have any health rituals that you would share with us?

To be honest, I am pretty bad with rituals, and being systematic in general - but I'm working on it, let's see if I'll manage to change that!
