Year 2015 new beginnings...

Yogalove blogger Soham Johansen owner of Hamsa Yoga Studio.

Year 2015 saw many new beginnings, one of them being teaching a 100 hour Basic Training in english for the first time.

Its been a blast right from day one, and to include students of all backgrounds Im doing this post in english (and sanskrit) Including more sanskrit teaching in my yoga is an intention of mine for 2015.

Lets begin

“At the core of human life lies the realisation of ones true nature, as well as the nature of the univers; supreme love. This realisation or recognition might come about as a process or by remembrance.

According to the 11 th century sage Kshemaraja the mind plays a big role in this. In his Pratya-bhi-jna-hri-dayam, which literally means “The heart of the doctrine of Recognition” he states 'chetyasankochini chittam’

The mind is the light of Consciousness in a contracted form. Further on Kshemaraja comments on this by saying ‘na chittam nama anyat kinchit api tu saiva Bhagavati tat’ There is no other thing like the mind, for it is the Goddess Herself.

Chiti Shakti

The mind is the perceptible form of the Goddess and the means by which she realises, recognises and remembers Herself.

The fluctuations of the mind is the pulsations of Chiti Shakti, Consciousness-energy or Light. This vast Goddess or Energy becomes the mind enabling the soul to experience the univers and the fruits of ones karma. Lets meditate together in the Universal Hall of the Heart and make 2015 the year of remembrance and honouring the mind.”
